Les voyages de Serpent-Pirogue. Espace et mémoire dans le savoir rituel tuyuca (Amazonie du Nord-Ouest).
Partant de la description d’une technique du corps masculine, l’auteur s’attache à montrer les relations que celle-ci entretient avec différents registres de discours : récits mythiques et incantations chamaniques. L’étude permet ainsi de démontrer que les savoirs rituels tuyuca reposent sur une forme particulière de mémoire, notable par son caractère spatialisé, qui s’incarne dans des mouvements corporels quotidiens et des actes rituels.
Between the Stone and Metal Ax: Animist Heritage and Present-Day Negotiations of the Andoque Concept of Power (Northwest Amazonia, Colombia)
This report summarizes fieldwork among the Andoque of Northwestern Amazonia (Colombia). The research explores how the Andoque’s notion of power is constructed and negotiated, and how it operates, in different entanglements between the Andoque, their territory and its nonhuman entities, and non-indigenous agents, as the Andoque oscillate between a grip of the “stone ax” and of the “metal” one.
